How Do I Get My Photos Featured on Flickrville?
6 March 2007 | Uncategorized, Photography, News, Flickr | No Responses
..That is the question i received the most from flickr users and photographers, “How Do I get My Photos Featured on Flickrville?”
Here’s a clue of what goes on behind the scene at flickrville:
1. Find amazing looking photos that fit into category (tags) that’s on flickrville.
2. Post a comment on a photo that is about to be featured, than click “blog this” and post it here.
What i normally do is power up my RSS feeds on some flickr related sites that i’m subscribed to and begin going through the whole list of photos before deciding which one will be posted here.
Best Way
The best way for you to get featured here is to join the flickrville group at flickr.com.
I constantly flip through the flickrville group pool to find pics that i can post here, i would suggest that you post your BEST photos to the group pool and please have the ‘blog this’ feature available otherwise i can’t and won’t post it here.

I’m sure many of you Flickr fans have read today flickr news and i bet that are many that have something to say about this piece if news.
2. On March 15th, 2007 we’ll be discontinuing the old email-based Flickr sign in system. From that point on, everyone will have to use a Yahoo! ID to sign in to Flickr.
We’re making this change now to simplify the sign in process in advance of several large projects launching this year, but some Flickr features and tools already require Yahoo! IDs for sign in — like the mobile site at m.flickr.com or the new Yahoo! Go program for mobiles, available at http://go.yahoo.com.
As for me i am already a Yahoo member so switching it’s not that hard or painful. However i do undersatnd people are really getting pissed off with the news that from March 15th onwards you can’t login without a Yahoo ID.
Personally this piece of news was bound to come up one day ever since Yahoo bought Flickr.
